Sacred Systems, 2021

When Janie Marshall designed Sacred Systems, a women’s pregnancy juice line, she approached it as both a visual hymn to the body and a study in nourishment. Drawing from the warm, bright palette of 1970s double-exposure film, she mirrored the saturated tones of fruits and vegetables—amber carrot, ruby beet, verdant kale—so the branding felt alive, ripe, and sunlit. The silhouetting technique became a recurring motif, abstracting and layering the sacred curve of a pregnant woman’s body into an emblem of life in progress. The result was a brand that felt at once retro and timeless, deeply human and quietly reverent, wrapping each bottle in a visual reminder of the beauty of creation.
